PowerPoint Assignments (Second Book)
To be Completed by May 1.
Overview of PowerPoint Assignment and Grading
Since many of you are still struggling to complete the excel assignments, the powerpoint assignment is being issued as a elective bonus assignment. I will give it the same weight as one section of the excel assignments.
I didn't have the opportunity to select the text for this course. I'm not a huge fan of our powerpoint text. While it has all the information you need to complete the assignment it is lacking in graphics and illustrations. For this reason I'm posting alternatives sources of information to the textbook. You can use these online resources or your text to complete the assignment.

The Assignment
Create 5 slides
Use master view to format the background using a gradient fill with green to yellow.
Applay a transition to each slide
I don't care about content. The goal is learn specific features of the tool. The 5 slides should be as follows.
- A title slide with your name. The title can be be just CSCI 105 PowerPoint. You name is the critical component.
- Create a slide with a heading, 4 bullets items, and some clip art. For full credit one bullet item should have 3 sub-bullets. Add an animation to one or more bullet points.
- A slide with two photographs. For full credit add picture frame borders. Overlap the images and fade the back image (You can do this two or three different ways, any will do. Adjust the image transparency, or brightness is easiest). Tilt the images 15 degrees. Add a caption under one of the images.
- Add smart art (any). For full credit animate the smart art.
- Use shapes and lines to draw a house. For full credit animate the objects so that the house is constructed when the slide starts and deconstructed after a few seconds.
Notes:
"clip art," "pictures/images," and "smart art" are distinct items in power point lingo. Do not confuse smart art with clipart, as they are not the same thing. Clip art itself comes in two varieties. Gif images are traditional forms of clip art. PowerPoint also supports vector graphics. Vector graphics are often require less memory and they are decomposable as well. The 5th slide (Animated house) is built using vector graphics.
